Make Things Right" Written May 26, 2010

I know words cant always help 
When a heart is missing it's pieces, 
but I need to fix things now, 
I can't just turn away and leave it. 

I opened my heart to you, 
And you turned away, 
My heart sank, 
You didnt say a thing. 

If I hold my breath long enough, 
will I drift off to the place where you sleep? 
Will I see you under the stars, 
sitting right beside me? 

I cant just turn my back, 
You took my heart, 
I need to collect the pieces, 
before I fall apart. 

I will wait through the day, 
And sit through the night. 
I've got something to say. 
I've gotta make things right. 

So I sit here in the sun, 
thinking of what to do next, 
There's a pain in my heart. 
There's still something to fix. 

I find myself pacing, 
My heart racing, 
just trying to think, 
but my mind wont let me, 
You keep coming back to my thoughts, 
I thought you had enough but I guess not. 
Now I cant help wandering 
Is this a fight well faught? 

I cant just turn my back,

I just cant stand to fight, 
Even if these are my last words tonight,
